State subsidies

Most Latvian municipalities, to include Riga, Marupe, Babite, and Kekava provide co-financing to residents who elect to register their children with our kindergarten.

The municipal co-financing is generally available regardless of the child being or not being on a waiting list for a public kindergarten. Even children who already attend a public kindergarten but wish to transfer to a private kindergarten typically will receive co-financing.

The rules and the amounts of municipal co-financing are subject to annual change. The current amounts of the city of Riga are indicated on our fee-schedule. For information about all other municipalities please contact our secretariat.

Diplomates are not eligible to receive municipal co-financing. All other foreigners are eligible as soon as they receive a resident permit from the Republic of Latvia.
