Greetings from our school psychologist

I am Anastasija Metlova, the school psychologist at the German International School of Riga.

After completing my master’s degree in Practical Psychology at the University of Latvia, I was looking for a learning environment that was not only warm and cozy, but also intellectually stimulating. I have worked professionally in Cyprus and the UK, but Riga has my heart.

With more than 15 years of experience, my expertise is focused on the academic and social-emotional support of our diversely interested students. My daily routine consists of a mixture of assessment, consulting and creating individual educational plans – you could call it educational matchmaking! Whether I’m unraveling childhood experiences or revealing teacher secrets, you can count on me to keep the educational process going with a healthy dose of humor and heart.
