Dear students, dear parents,
When I visited Riga for the first time a few years ago, I wished for a German school abroad in this beautiful city. Now, after stops in Moscow and Kecskemét, this wish has come true: I am very happy to be part of the school community in Riga for the next school year.
In Moscow, I was able to teach German and history for five years and be in charge of middle school. There I gained valuable experience in dealing with multilingual pupils who were very enthusiastic about learning. After Moscow, my path led me to Kecskemét in Hungary, where I taught in the language preparation class, among other things. It was a great pleasure for me to see how young Hungarians learned German in just one school year.
I am now looking forward to my new challenge in Riga, where I will not only be teaching as the head of middle school, but also helping to shape the young school. I am particularly looking forward to the diverse school community and inquisitive, interested students, because education is not only about knowledge, but above all an interest in knowledge.
Yours sincerely,
Susanne Schädlich
